Far Infrared Sauna
Pyramid's Far Infrared Sauna is a relaxing, private escape for you to detoxify and relax for 20-30 minutes. Our Far Infrared Sauna uses infrared lamps to create heat and warm your body directly, unlike traditional saunas that heat the air. This is a unique opportunity to detoxify in a private sauna while listening to music for deep relaxation. Once the session begins and you start to relax, you can watch the clouds pass by since the sauna directly faces an 8 foot window!
It’s generally recommended to wear loose fitting, cotton clothing, like a large tank top and shorts. They will help absorb excess sweat and let your skin breath freely.
We will provide cotton towels, which will be used to sit on and help absorb perspiration. Please call in advance to schedule your appointment. Our sauna is located on the second floor of our building and requires stairs to access it.

Saunas are beneficial because they cause reactions in the body like those elicited by moderate exercise, such as lots of sweating and an elevated heart rate. Infrared saunas are particularly useful for those who might not be able to withstand the higher temperature that a more traditional sauna uses to have the same benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does an infrared sauna work?
Infrared saunas, unlike a traditional sauna, use infrared lamps to create heat and warm your body. Traditional saunas heat the air around you, whereas the infrared panels penetrate human tissue, which heats up your body before heating up the air. Since the infrared heat penetrates more deeply into the body than traditional warmed air, you can experience a more intense sweat at a lower temperature.
How often should it be used?
People who have never used a sauna before are recommended to only go for 15-20 minutes the first few sessions. This gives their bodies time to adapt to this new environment – you want to see how your body reacts to the sauna environment! Then you can build up to 20-30 minute sessions. It is generally recommended to not use a sauna more than 3-4 times per a week.
Is there anyone who shouldn't use a sauna?
Yes, please review the list below, but also consult your doctor and refrain from usage until then.
- If you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- Have low or high blood pressure
- If you have recently had a heart attack or other heart issue
- If you suffer from obesity or a have a medical history of heart disease
- If you have circulatory system problems or diabetes
- Persons using medications should consult a physician before using the sauna since some medications can induce drowsiness while others might affect heart rate, blood pressure and circulation
Are there risks associated with using an infrared sauna?
There is the risk for dehydration if water is not consumed to rehydrate after a session. If you begin to feel uncomfortable or dizzy, get out of the sauna immediately.
