Brad Young
Brad Young, an adoptive native of Vermont and graduate of UVM, earned his Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi where he had the opportunity to counsel residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. His internship bought him back to Vermont where he worked at Spring Lake Ranch, a residential therapeutic community. Brad now works as a private practitioner, trained and specializing in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is particularly effective in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including PTSD. As a veteran himself, Brad is sensitive to the unique challenges of returning soldiers and their families. Having clinical experience with many mental health issues, including mental illness and depression, Brad has a special interest in trauma and grief work. He implements a variety of therapeutic methods including EFT (Emotion Freedom Technique) in his client-led sessions. Brad is currently accepting new self-pay clients (sliding scale available).
